Nigel Barrett and Louise Mari spent several weeks talking to people on the streets, market stalls, shops and businesses of Deptford, knocking on doors and asking local people:
‘We want to make or do something at the Albany in Deptford that brings local people together and gives them something to talk about – what would you make or do if it was you ?’
The answer was very loud and clear: A PARTY! Something uplifting, with food and music and art.
So, on Sunday 23 February 2020 they threw the doors of the Albany wide open for a day of films, music, games, dancing, a tug of war, stories, talks, a chance to sit and read the papers or to get messy!
